Ruby: RPG Maker VX Ace

RPG Maker VX Ace is a video game engine developed by Enterbrain and published by Degica in the West. It essentially allows people to create their own RPGs (Role Playing Games).

The engine, like its previous iterations RPG Maker XP and RPG Maker VX, is powered by the Ruby Game Scripting System (RGSS), which is based on Ruby. RPG Maker VX Ace uses RGSS3, which is based on Ruby 1.9.2.

I have created many scripts for RPG Maker VX Ace, all of them are either released as CC BY 3.0 or a similar unrestricted license, which would allow the user to use, modify and redistribute the script for non-commercial and commercial purposes.

A full list of my scripts can be found on Area91, but I have listed a few notable scripts below.

RPG Maker VX Ace

Free Movement is a script that allows for free off-the-grid movement of actors. In RPG Maker VX Ace, you are restricted to a grid with 32x32 tiles when moving around. This script gets rid of this movement restriction.
